GivingThanks or ThanksGiving

If you really think about it... you might have a nice house/car/tv. You might have a great family and friends that surround you on all sides. You might be incredibly smart and really good a school, or maybe super athletic and skinny. You might be what you think everyone wants or desires, but until you spend the time and effort towards learning to be appreciative and grateful for those things you have been blessed with, your no better off than anyone else. The room is a bright as you make it. Your life is as good as your perceive it. Being grateful isn't a mere reaction to receiving a blessing, its a lifestyle. When we put forth the time and effort, and we're able to live gratefully, then we will truly be happy and capable of seeing what this life is really all about.

I love my wife more than anything and learn to appreciate her and the blessing she is to me, more and more every day. This progression of becoming more and more aware of the blessings around me, is what feeds my happiness for now and is just a small part of the equation which will eventually produce eternal happiness.

I love you Jenna!

  1. I love this post Kellan! I was giving a lesson to my yw the other day about being grateful and we were all surprised to hear (or learn) that being ungrateful is actually a sin! When you think about it like that it gives you that extra shove to count your blessings..
